Reflective Summary
During my clinical practice, I had the opportunity to move from observer to active teacher. I began by supporting small groups and individual learners, then gradually took on whole-group instruction, planning, and assessment. My mentor teacher provided ongoing feedback that helped me refine my pacing, questioning techniques, and classroom presence.
One of my most meaningful growth areas was learning to use formative assessment in the moment to adjust instruction. I discovered that flexibility and responsiveness are essential to meeting students' needs. I also learned that building positive relationships is the foundation upon which all effective teaching rests.
